Unless they do a reimagining of them in 3D versions, I think remaking 8 or 9 would be better. Or X / X-2

It's been going around for kinda years tbh. No hard evidence though. Feels like a given someday now that the 7 trilogy is nearly complete and almost shipped. It's the clear second favorite of the series amongst fans I'd say after 7, but obviously that is subjective. People have their love for 8 and 9 as well and even 6 of course. I think 10 is kinda the "stereotypical" most liked of the series after 7 like I said though, if that makes sense. Probably some years away. Wouldn't be surprised if we got XVII (which I'm very curious about the direction THAT is going to take) first before any more remakes apart from Revelation.

It's one of my favorites of all time though man I'd love a remake done right. Not sure if they should keep turned based or take the 7R route. Lots of possibilities.

If they remake 6 it's gotta be with 3D models. Bare minimum I'm tryna see something like DQ7 Reimagined but obviously with a different art style. We already have the Pixel remasters so a HD-2D doesn't move me much. I can't down with pixel sprites in 2026

Yea for sure. Great price for two great games. X2 is fun in its own way but don't expect the epicness of x. Or maybe you already played them both and know already lol

Been hesitating because of the remake rumors, but I don’t feel like I'll be disappointed if I play through them and a remake is eventually announced so it’s prob time

I tried to play FFX as my first FF game and I just couldn't do it.

I love JRPGs man. SMT, Persona, DQ, Tales of, etc

But I for the life of me could not get into this. I played for about 10 hours and it was just a loop of walk through small corridor hallway> cutscene> walkthrough corridor> cutscene > walkthrough corridor> cutscene> scripted fight you can't lose unless you legitimately dumb rinse and repeat

Wish it would just let me off the reigns but I gave up. The combat system was actually cool when it happened it just needed to ease up on the cutscenes

I just bought FF7R Integrade for my Switch 2 and I know its a dramatic shift from traditional ff games but I'll give that one a shot

You might like FF12 which is generally much more open and gives you more freedom to explore and do side stuff

Yes of course both are fantastic games and even just buying X for $10 is a steal

If they are actually remaking X it will not be released for another decade or longer i promise you lol just go ahead and play the OG one to experience a great game

if you can find on original hardware it's well worth it, the remaster's are heavily compromised versions of the game i'd say
