Kanye from CD-WTT was pretty close to elite tbh. Not saying he was Rakim-Biggie-Cube-Wayne tier as a rapper but he mixed conscious subjects with mainstream flows and his charisma so well that he rapped better in that period than just about any mainstream rapper today not named Kendrick and maybe Cole

PulpDo we have any confirmation on everyone writing his s*** before like 2015-16 (other than the Rhymefest stuff). His way of writing was unique and recognizable. And Rhymefest afaik acknowledged him writing only his verse as a reference for Jesus Walks.
If he wrote the stuff from his first 5 albums I'd consider him a top tier MC. His flow and writing impacted a s***ton of rappers. Not a Ye d***rider btw.
