After Slime You Out and Yachty’s comments about it being “controversial” I was scared we’d get a red pill/loser album lol so glad it’s just a heartbreak album
the Yachty song and first half of 7969 Santa are the only ones I don’t really care for
Best use of features since TC I think
Rich Baby Daddy probably gonna blow up but I also think Virginia Beach and WWPD have hit potential
Overall I really love it

First album from drake in a while that I really enjoyed on first listen, usually takes me a bit to get into it but this hittin different which is really good! Don’t think drake has ever made a mid project, just since more life had through in some mid songs and features that brought down the quality but features here are fire

I loved Honestly Nevermind and I knew he was sad he missed the mark with the American crowd so he got back to making that type music

Respectfully none of the r&b records sound recycled to me. sure, it may revisit the same themes, but the delivery and melodies arent the same.

Oct 6, 2023Enjoyed the whole album, incredible from The Boy again. His versatility is unmatched, my only criticism is that Skies Parted song wasn’t on here, really wanted that one.

The arrangements are monotonous. The subject matter hasn't evolved in any meaningful way the past few album cycles, so it loses the intrigue or feeling of something new whether that be with respect to Drake's own life or with respect to any perspective or commentary he might add to how things are.
The R&B cuts are notably stronger.
Most of the best changes barely last long enough to digest and they have erred towards the side of being the more interesting piece of production on the given track.
Some of the sample choices were interesting...
