i have never felt like this before. im Sad 24/7. I’m damn near panicking sometimes. Im afraid of the future, i dont have a clear picture of where i will be in 1 year. How do stop being depressed? its getting worse everyday. Normally i would just go do some fun s*** but everything is closed.

I also think im suffering from realization, sometimes when im with my friends it doesn’t feel real. Then i go home and feel like i didn’t hang with them. I dont know why i feel like that, maybe its something else than realization but its weird and feel like it isn’t real.

Do you still force yourself out even though everything is closed? Exercise is extremely important in combating depression. It is not a meme. Exercise as much as you can.

Do you have friends to do things with? Speaking and keeping company on some level can be beneficial. Spending time indoors alone on social media is going to destroy you. You want to be outside and you want to be around people. Of course, that is harder due to Covid, but if you can do it on some level, it will help.

I would advise against anti depressants.

im actually really social these days, i used to be anti social a lot. Now its hard for me to stay by myself, i need people to talk to 24/7, so whenever im not with my friends or not at work i sit at my home sad as s***, wishing i had something fun to do.

  • U want more fulfilling relationships push for something more meaningful with your current friends

If u still don't feel satisfied from that time to branch out to different ppl

Try thinking about the positive things in your life.

If you got fam, a partner, and/or friends, try to appreciate them while they're still in your life and talk to them on a consistent basis.

Got a job? Consider yourself blessed that you didn't get shafted by COVID's impact on the economy.

Dealt with crazy drivers on the road? Be glad that it didn't lead to a car crash or fatal accident.

Sometimes, appreciating the smaller things in life can help with dealing with depression or at least it did for me when I used to struggle with it.

If it gets too burdensome, though, try to either seek a counselor or talk to your doctor about it so it can be treated right away.

I have friends that are on anti-depressants and what have you. It's not something you want to be left uncontrolled for a long period of time.

happiness will come if you are healthy and working on something you care about

if you like rock climbing, your goal could be to open a rock gym, whatever you're interested in think of a way that could take up a lot of your time and make you money, as you work towards that you will learn about what you really want and what rewards you

also, after you come up with a goal the first steps towards that should be much smaller, exercise, meditation, research, school, and/or working another job to support yourself

basically if you take care of yourself while keeping a goal in mind you will start to see progress

I’m dealing w the same thing, Ive been depressed before but never this bad. It got really bad at the start of this month but is calming down a bit.

Im still going through it but I can say walks have helped, watching positive and funny content, listening to music that makes me feel free on car rides around the suburbs or nice areas, and talking to friends which its gonna feel like its not helping at first but if you talk enough it helps.

Good luck op, s*** is rough

i am not mentally ill. If i am, so is half of the world. I think my problem goes down to one thing, and that is that i am a weak person mentally. My parents went through 10x harder things than i am, but they fine.

I have never dealt with death, i have never lost a family member or anything like that, imagine how much that s*** would f*** me up. I have never been through real s*** like that, but im still having a hard time rn dealing with life. It comes down to one thing, and that is that im a huge b****.
