You’re talking quantity and I’m talking about diversity.. the fact that she’s a consistent seller through the mediums.. physical, digital to streaming and she was able to transition through each generation as effortlessly as she has compared to her contemporaries is a testament to how diverse and inclusive her listener base is..
the acts that debut with her are unable to capture the Gen Z audience like Bey in the same way that Gen Z artists like Doja and LNX don’t have her reach with older milllenials, 30+ crowd m
Her concerts tell the same story just the same
Tbh Beyonce wouldn’t have been able to even enjoy the longevity as a front runner in this music s*** for 25+ years for as consistently as she has IF there wasn’t a wide range of ages that listen to her.. it’d be impossible for her to still compete and hold her own with new acts that were small children when she was in her commercial prime lol
..you’re only using the less than. <500k angle because she’s projected to sell less in 2022.. using that to discredit jus how diverse the age bracket is for her base is just lazy work..
No. If she had a legit audience that’s younger then her streams would be higher. That’s the audience that really pushes numbers and that has always been the case. Therefore the younger audience she would’ve inherited on top of expanding her existing fanbase (older crowd), she would be doing closer to Drake CLB numbers.
She’s at the same point of her career as Hov and it’s nothing wrong with that. Stop being a delusional stan.
Not a single mention of Yeat.

Sir..
You’re implying that Beyoncé doesn’t have a sizable young listener base (enough to make her demo quite diverse in age) because she doesn’t have enough streams to raise her first week numbers to 500k+ in 2022 as if all the Gen Z tiktokkers and others on social media haven’t been obsessing over Alien Superstar this weeknd. also how many artists from Bey’s era is enjoying 45 million monthly spotify listeners.. mind you, this is her worst performing platform and a Gen Z giant like Doja/LNX only average about 10 million more than her. She is a competitor even though she’s not the top dog selling 500k + mean while her digital and physical sales are better than their streaming is against her.. she was also the first female artist to have 3 albums stream a billion despite her joining the streaming game late.
She’s a force physically, digitally and now is showing her presence in streaming. If that’s not a literal reflection of how wide ranging her music appeals to different age brackets then I don’t kno what what else does..
The same teenagers that are losing their minds to alien superstar (which hit #1 on Apple Music) right now have older siblings that lost their s*** to single ladies who have parents that still have the physical copy of Dangerously in Love in their 6 disk stereo
Nothing in my post was relatively ‘stannish’ what are you talking about ?
rema is mad underrated, dirty and carry are 2 of the most fire songs ive heard in a minute.
only worry I have for him is he's the latest in a long line of nigerian acts who quickly progress to this incredible level of quality that only season vets should have. with most of those acts, after they reach that height, they drop off significantly, none of them reaching that davido, burna and Wiz space.
first person i can think of is mr eazy but he's from a long time ago, more recently is fireboy, omah lay etc who even though have been releasing fire, haven't really captured the scene the way you think they would have. I hope he does well though because this last album was increíble.
im excited for him, but im gonna wait and see what happens..
Accra to Lagos album had so many heaters
Breaking news: people enjoy albums more than you do
Breaking news shut your corny ass up
Nobody cares for that FM bullshit lmao
Honestly don’t think anybody cares about any of those albums anymore. Bad Bunny’s album has been getting PLENTY play whenever I’m out though, but also might just be because it’s summertime still
Y‘all can hate @op but he‘s right numbers-wise
Dawn FM is not ""arguably"" his best man lol
Purely as an album maybe tbh. Transitions flawless
But After Hours has way better tracks on it, higher peaks

Bey album just dropped 3 days ago so we can’t tell

Yea that’s why my s*** is anecdotal. I’m sure she’ll be number 1 when the charts get updated. But I would be surprised if she lasts in the top 3 past two-three weeks because it feels like it’s only her fan base that cares about this album. Doesn’t seem like it’s really clicking with everybody on social media

yoo it did
everything he was releasing at that point was fire. i saw he had a song with j balvin last year so maybe he isn't doing so bad. but it's crazy, he used to pull 10's of millions off of every release.
