Therefore the younger audience she would’ve inherited on top of expanding her existing fanbase (older crowd), she would be doing closer to Drake CLB numbers.

You’re implying that Beyoncé doesn’t have a sizable young listener base (enough to make her demo quite diverse in age) because she doesn’t have enough streams to raise her first week numbers to 500k+ in 2022 as if all the Gen Z tiktokkers and others on social media haven’t been obsessing over Alien Superstar this weeknd. also how many artists from Bey’s era is enjoying 45 million monthly spotify listeners.. mind you, this is her worst performing platform and a Gen Z giant like Doja/LNX only average about 10 million more than her. She is a competitor even though she’s not the top dog selling 500k + mean while her digital and physical sales are better than their streaming is against her.. she was also the first female artist to have 3 albums stream a billion despite her joining the streaming game late.She’s a force physically, digitally and now is showing her presence in streaming. chibuyerema is mad underrated, dirty and carry are 2 of the most fire songs ive heard in a minute.
only worry I have for him is he's the latest in a long line of nigerian acts who quickly progress to this incredible level of quality that only season vets should have. with most of those acts, after they reach that height, they drop off significantly, none of them reaching that davido, burna and Wiz space.
first person i can think of is mr eazy but he's from a long time ago, more recently is fireboy, omah lay etc who even though have been releasing fire, haven't really captured the scene the way you think they would have. I hope he does well though because this last album was increíble.
im excited for him, but im gonna wait and see what happens..

Yea that’s why my s*** is anecdotal. I’m sure she’ll be number 1 when the charts get updated. But I would be surprised if she lasts in the top 3 past two-three weeks because it feels like it’s only her fan base that cares about this album. Doesn’t seem like it’s really clicking with everybody on social media

everything he was releasing at that point was fire. i saw he had a song with j balvin last year so maybe he isn't doing so bad. but it's crazy, he used to pull 10's of millions off of every release.
