Just listened to it last night and what an amazing album

I remember when it dropped I listened to it once and did not enjoy it at all even though i was familiar with his music

His voice still doesn’t always hit for me but I can now see why this is his magnum opus, only XXX can rival it

10/10 album no skips

Tragic about how it f***ed up Danny's label situation cause it's by no means a flop quality wise but yeah, Danny top 10 of the 10s

The album put Danny into massive debt trying to clear the samples. 10/10 album. Real art.

i used to think XXX was way better and then AE grew on me more and i realized i was out of my mind when i was first getting into him

AE is a masterpiece

This was so perfect idk if he’ll get near this level again

Paul White is a genius, the production on this album is so grimy and rugged

Downward Spiral as an instrumental is just beautiful

Because I probably was not in the mood for the heavy dark and experimental vibes the first time I listened when it just dropped. Probably doze off doing other stuff too and never gave it a fair shot again given that his voice wasn’t really something I fw

Then I revisited triple XXX recently since I remember generally liking it, went to instantly loving it more than I ever did before on that recent listen. I also always f***ed with Old Side A heavy so I figured it was about time to give AE a fair chance again

And timing matters. Sinister experimental music like this won’t always hit 24/7, it’s very dependent on your mood and how actively you’re willing to participate in the listening experience

I feel bad for people who dont like his voice

He has one of the best rap voices of all time easy

I can understand why it wouldn’t click for a lot of people. I was already a massive Danny fan for years before it was released and it took me years to understand how good it was and that there isn’t a bad song on it

forreal, that vocal sample and beat is wild. plus danny kills it, the starting lines for the verses lives rentfree in my head

he really is a one of one, incredible artist
