Recently going through the new(er) A Series of Unfortunate Events audiobooks and they’re presented like radio shows, with each character having their own VO, complete with background music and sfx accompaniment.

Obviously, this constitutes a budget and the majority of books (especially new releases) could never get treatment such as this, but amongst established classics I think it’d be cool for something like this to be a little more commonplace.
