He sees your profile, knows where u live and where u work, shows up in front of ur house or work or whatever
Physically showing up somewhere doesn't seem anonymous to me at all

Wear anonymous mask irl
I feel like the more rules are imposed on you, the less autonomous you can be
I see what you're saying but you could classify the 1st amendment as a rule and that literally protects ones autonomy
Nah I don’t agree with people saying racist s*** because it’s f***ed but I also don’t agree with having to give all my information and government ID to some social media company to make accounts. Anonymity is nice.

Considering people get attacked personally for having opinions people disagree with, this won't work. Too many people take things too personally and get way too sensitive over disagreements.
Twitter won't do it, it would kill a lot of engagement and people would stop posting. If there's a chance your opinion on something controversial could get you into real life trouble people would just have the same opinions but post it less lmao
Log into the system. It begins now
If s***s not anonymous anymore how could you f*** with someone anonymously?
edit: In response to your edit I'm assuming more than just the walled garden platforms change with the adoption of something like this. General telecommunications security overall would have to change drastically for something like this to be visbke
what it boils down to for me is
someone sees your full name and picture and you’re location
they then google your name, location, etc
possibly find out where you work, then call your job and say things about you (he/she did this, said that, etc). basically anything to get you fired.
this can all be done anonymously
there’s nothing wrong with wanting privacy in the vast ocean that is the internet. there are simple too many people to account for and trust

Idk what the first amendment is i’m not american

I'm mostly playing devils advocate for the idea more than the specific actuation of it.
This is exactly the reason I said there should be some other form of unique online identifier outside of specific government identification a few pages ago.

"Protects" free speech here (conceptually if not in reality)

It just means the government can’t suppress free speech. Companies can do whatever the hell they want

It was just an example of a rule that conceptually protects autonomy rather than limits it
the internet is a lawless land for better and for worse. really dont like all these talks and push towards controlling what goes and s***.
NSA already in our phones anyway
