If a album isn’t very replayable, how is it a classic

    I dont view either as a classic fir that exact reason.

    Havent been compelled to ever hear those albums in their entirety since I first heard them

    some of my favorite s*** ever has only clicked on subsequent listens

    you shouldn't write something off based on 1 listen, sometimes you just need fresh ears and it sounds completely different

    I mean it has happened to me multiple times

    Well yea but if none of the songs are memorable how is it a classic. Plus People still play TPAB and MBDTF songs today so how is that disproving my point.

    That’s subjective bro. You, personally can think an album has no memorable songs, but another 100 people can tell you why those songs changed the way they hear music

    There’s no point in arguing something that’s so subjective

    Classics are based on general consensus, not personal opinion

    You can really like an album.but that doesnt make it a classic.

    Yea but I see people claiming albums that they themselves don’t consider replayable as classics. One of my friends say DAYTONA is a classic but he only heard it once. (It is a classic but that’s not what the conversation is about)

    well, they could be trying to acknowledge an album as a classic objectively (influence,general consensus,whatever) but they personally dont like it as much

    ex Miles Davis Kind of Blue isnt replayable at all for me but its still undoubtedly a classic, my opinion doesnt factor into it

    And I see people saying s*** like NWTS, Astroworld, TPAB isn’t a classic like b**** if you even discussing that it’s a classic. If it stayed in your mind for more than 2 years and is remembered for positive reasons it’s a classic
