    are you ed?

Song structure does not equal using the same scales (which there are plenty of and plenty that are used less than others) Also there’s jazz and free jazz which can follow no particular structure

how about you learn about what you’re talking about before calling me ed

I think ai could create a decent song but never an album. Good/catchy song structure is sadly almost algorithmic these days anyway. Good album structure?idk Also I think with continued exposure people would be able to easily discriminate between ai made and human made music which would lessen the formers value.

We already do don’t we ?

If it’s legitimately 10/10 of course

As a music fan why would I deprive myself of classic music?

Perception is key. If you told me some of these dudes out right now are actually AI, can't say I'd be too surprised.

Art presented as AI generated in like a museum or for some greater point would be interesting.

Jazz is the only genre you can make that argument for, which doesn't matter because its still predictable.

What about every other western genre that has ever existed? Unless you're listening to qanun music then thats kl

one of my fav ever songs is can't get you out of my head by Kylie Minogue

the song is probs one most soulless songs i have heard but thats what so special about it. It feels so corporate and robotic on purpose making it very hypnotising song and catchy one at that

i could see a robot doing songs like that

Could see a robot doing all pop music

i am actually quite excited for future of music. I feel there can be so many possibilities with AI artists, would love to see one try what you said with industry backing to see how public will f*** with it

i reckon we quite far off from this timeline

I feel like it’ll be like the South Park episode when the German comedian robot replaced all comedians and tried to destroy the world as the last joke

Are you stupid? What do you mean “predictable”?
And how are scales predictable when there’s around 50? And modes exist? Look if you’re talking about pop you have a point but music in general no

it would add another crazy element to the 'can you separate the art from the artist?' debate

depends what it makes, all music requires human emotion to work

However if its some very experimental piece work that i have never heard before and have enjoyment then i will be fine with listening to it

What if the AI can fake human emotion with extreme accuracy 🤔
