They cant. Because when someone makes a beat they're very slightly off on the timing which gives it a human element and makes it a more pleasurable listening experience than if everything was timed to the exact second.

AI can create music, perhaps even good music. But the way people make music is always going to be better

It’s coming, way sooner than anybody expects. Within three years there will be a mainstream artist that just lip syncs AI songs and gets credit for them all. Will look like a model and the record labels will think this is the future.

Eventually human artists become “underground” and there’s a lot of angst against AI music in human led songs.

But nothing’s safe and eventually AI infiltrates the underground music scene and nothing can be trusted. Then AI will rap or sing about how much they hate AI.

Scary future.

And don’t think the labels aren’t pouring millions into this, they are.
