2Pac was getting into way too much legal trouble idk. Same with XXX.

The reason Drake/Kanye/Jay-Z/Eminem have turned into A-list names is because they stayed out the street trouble once they really blew up.

Rappers who kept getting into law issues (Wayne, T.I., etc) while blowing up fizzled out with their careers because of it.

Mac would've seen Circles getting positive reviews and begin deviating strictly from Rapping. Probably turn into someone like Rick Rubin 30 years from now

Maybe refine his producing and become a relatively utilized producer

circles wouldnt have been as big tho if he didnt die

Their career trajectory declined right after.

Wayne mostly fell off the map after 2011 cause the legal issues with Birdman, and T.I. career was kinda done after he left prison in 2011 or whatever.

Aaliyah wasn't even bigger than Brandy before she died so...

Brandy music was bigger and Brandy was doing more in acting.

C4 was biggest rap album of 2011 and one of the biggest rap albums of last decade

birdamn issues hurt his career a lot tho. but prison didnt effect it imo

Brandy was a show lead, but aaliyah was getting movies. The distinction between tv and movies used to be a lot clearer, and meant more back then.

Brandy also got movie roles? And she did them first.

She did Cinderella re-make with Whitney Houston in 1997, and was in I Know What You Did Last Summer in 1998.

Yeah he had C4 after prison, but the legal issues with Birdman def ruined his momentum after.

Kinda like how 2Pac was also gonna end up having legal issues with Suge shady ass.

This is really interesting, if Pac hadn’t been killed what roles do you think he would have been offered? Definitely Enemy of the State type movies, I could see him ending up in a lot of parts that went to wood/denzel/will smith

pac had so many plans and was a visionary, with everything he already accomplished there's no telling what he would've done if he didnt die. I honestly think it would've been a lot more than just movies like ice cube

Will Smith already had the rapper turned A-list Hollywood actor thing locked down too tbh though. Will is another example that you had to have stayed out of legal issues to become A-list status which 2Pac was having too much trouble doing.

I think he woulda been like Ice Cube in terms of doing movies but not getting real A-list roles, but music wise I think he woulda been like Snoop Dogg and also kept having decent success after the mid 90s unlike Ice.

for sure birdman issues hurt a lot. but kanye and em falling off in terms of popularity to.

I dont think pac and biggie would've been as big if they didnt die they would probably be more 50 cent level big.

I feel like he would've been running adjacent with Cube
Starting off with street films, like Juice and Above the Rim, and then kept branching out to action, comedy, whatever

    • Tupac would've retired from music or taken a giant step back and either focused on acting or inherited more of a activist role.

    • Biggie wouldve made smash hits throughout the rest of the 90's up until the early 2010's. Probably would've fallen out with Diddy over money issues in the mid 2000's. Probably would've collaborated with people like Joey Badass, Rapsody, J. Cole, Kendrick, Meek Mill, Rick Ross etc.

    • Lil Peep would've continued to grow his popularity and either would've blown up on a large scale or would've found his nitche and ride out the rest his career comfortably in that space.

    • Mac Miller would've continued to grow as an artist and would've attracted new, more mature fanbase and wouldve eventually made his masterpiece sometime within the next few years.

    • Nipsey would continue to be a figure in the west coast rap scene and while never blowing up to the next level, would've been well known across the spectrum as a great guy who provides for his community.
