BillTo me this is the type of s*** I love, perfect hype music, bro is clearly just saying anything, extremely aggressive sexual bars, beat clipping in and out, the video also is iconic, the cooking and the tight ass shirt. For someone who didn’t get into it when it was popular I don’t think it’s be easy to see the appeal.
At the time music was really overproduced and the wave of pop rap was dying while “real rap” was coming back full swing, Lil B kinda spit in the face of that. 1000s of songs, clearly one take on most, mixing all over the map, some pretty great beat selection that just amplified his personality. Was the type of music I loved to bang in the car or with friends to hype us up. Clearly not for everyone but I think it has its own interesting appeal in being pretty non conventional for rap music.
Now so many people morphed his style into something more mainstream palatable so it’s hard to see the appeal when other artists were technically “doing it better”. It’s a big energy thing, reminds me a lot of the Detroit wave recently where the bars are so off the wall half the time and it makes the songs extremely entertaining to listen to.
The Detroit and Bay Area connection is super real when it came to Lil B's music, it sas definitely more refined by other artists as time went on it happens. But his influence has been more present from 2016 to now than ever before. Violate That B**** sounded completely off the wall and unheard of back when it dropped, but these days it sounds like the kinda s*** most kids and teenagers be listening to.

I'll always appreciate B for what he did with music and music drops in general (weekly/daily songs and music videos uploaded to WorldStar), as well as some iconic songs and posse cuts with good direction to go with it.
But that's as far as it goes.
He's been an audio s***can for years now and I grew up from it. Can't force myself to continue the cringe "haha lil b goat" act anymore.
Nothing against him personally.
Same I liked him back then and grew out of it but then s*** came out that he's a weirdo and scammer so f*** him
