also ktt: kung fu kenny has a pulitzer 🤓
Truth is: Hov has touched the culture for more than having timeless projects. Y’all can bring up critical acclaim or awards all you’d like but Hov’s status isn’t limited to that. Not many rappers have more songs or quotables to bring the culture together and stand as landmarks of the entire genre of hiphop
So as much of a GOAT as Kenny is, with his own stamp on the game - including a few things Hov didn’t do - the answer is a resounding
This a good point too.
Jay is more than an artist
Kendrick may surpass him musically, but not as a figure and icon
Hov top 10 but yall over exaggerate tf out of him its wild
KTT LOVES HOV lol

Discography wise I mean it’s not close but that’s due to sample size. Kendrick has no misses. Jay is inconsistent but jays peaks are all time historic

Can’t wait to see what Kendrick discography is like 10+ albums in.
If he’s still rapping that long
Hov top 10 but yall over exaggerate tf out of him its wild
If you're talking about greatest of all time, not necessarily "best rapper" who would you put over Jay?

Lol tell me you a little nigga witout telling me you a little nigga
Reasonable Doubt, The Blueprint, The Black Album, Watch the Throne are all at least as good as any of Kendricks albums. That's being generous though we all know they're better.
Vol 1-3 and Blueprint 2 are probably just as good as any of his albums.
None of this is disrespect to Kendrick he's top 10 of all time but the Hov disrespect is sad and pretentious.

you are absolutely out your f***ing mind
nah that's disrespect to kendrick lmao

Uhhh greatest of all time is usually about whos best what lol
Jay is prolific lasting wise & buisness wise. Almost every year there was someone doing better than him.
If thats all it takes for you then cool enjoy that lol.
Also west coast dont see nowhere near how "yall" see jay, it isnt objective across the board in any way.
Like i said hes top 10 tho.

Word.
Jay not even better than Nas.
I don't believe he has a better album than Reasonable Doubt or Blueprint so no
I don't agree but then again I still don't believe Kenny better than Jay-Z
I just think Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint are incredibly overrated and only mentioned now to seem cool and/or in touch with the culture.
