we have an internal sense of meaning within ourselves that we use to determine what is and isn't worth doing. Rational thought only plays a small part in that. You can't argue what is and what isn't meaningful most of the time you already know.

idk why people get caught up in their lives not having a predisposed meaning

    seems kinda liberating to me

Erik Erikson's stages of development are studied at length in psychology. Basically his theory is that at different ages we go through different stages where "successful" completion of that stage is an indicator for happiness and fulfillment with your life. For most of us on here, we fall in stage 6, intimacy vs. isolation:

During this stage, we begin to share ourselves more intimately with others. We explore relationships leading toward longer-term commitments with someone other than a family member.

Successful completion of this stage can result in happy relationships and a sense of commitment, safety, and care within a relationship.

Avoiding intimacy, fearing commitment and relationships can lead to isolation, loneliness, and sometimes depression. Success in this stage will lead to the virtue of love.

Cap that’s only if you let it bro bro

If anything atheists feel the need to live life more as they don’t believe in going to heaven for eternity after you die meaning this is your only chance to enjoy anything

    It’s all about your outlook
