What artist putting out albums with as much music as that? If anybody else tried to put that many tracks on an album today it would have filler too. Cole can't even make a regular length album with as many gems.

my point is u could do this with nearly anything bad. editting is such an integrally important part of any releasing any piece of art. you could turn most bad 15 song albums into a good 6 song ep
theres probably 20 minutes of good movie in a s***ty 3 hour movie. its weird to let artists off the hook for not being able to do that, its as essential to the process as anything else

I think realistically Scorpion made sense to be as long as it was (how else was it going to seem as "big" as Views or More Life..." but I think it also could have been cut to like 16-20 songs pretty easily.

As far as my reasoning process for this, I largely went off of the tracks I've continued to revisit again and again since it came out. I'm sorry but Summer Games and Peak are not songs that I personally am trying to hear again and again...

Realistically I think the only undisputed Drake classics on this album are Mob Ties, After Dark, and In My Feelings.

God's Plan / NFW / Elevate / Talk Up / Can't Take A Joke / Blue Tint / DMTM / Nonstop are the only other ones that I think are really top tier in the grand scheme of things, especially when you consider how good so much of Drake's 2012-2014 music was
