EverestBecause what happens once the temporary part of the temporary ceasefire is over?
it would give israel a huge green light to do whatever they want once the ‘humanitarian pause ceasefire’ is over. They can not be given an inch. The last 5 months is what Israel does with an inch. A permanent ceasefire (which involves the release of all hostages on both sides) is what is needed

When Israel goes too far, the US, or at least the Democrats, reign them in. That’s where these ceasefire talks stem from. The US is actively against the settlements, not blindly pro-Israel, but also isn’t going to just turn it’s back on an ally because lefty protestors want them to.
