My boy came through with pictures

Screenshotting everything!!! Off topic, could you see yourself living there? Heard many black folk are moving tbh

I could see myself having a spot out there if I learned the language.

Japan was trippy as f*** I remember meeting this cool ass Blasian chick there like she looked like a Zendaya type but she spoke no English and tried to talk to me in Japanese

Tokyo remind me of a cleaner NYC, the subway was clean and on time and they had heated seats lmaoo

Plus it has the business of NYC but I was able to move at my own pace? Like I found comfort in the chaos.

It's just weird seeing One Piece in ads for everything lmaoo

s*** is CRAZY when you go back to America cuz the layouts look dumb as hell by comparison

Some of the most ridiculous layouts to ever be seen are in America. Like, this is mentally ill to even suggest this as a layout.
Needing a car to go 2 minutes up the road. Bizarre.

what do you miss most about it?

    the architecture,

the food (which I hated at first but grew to love)

The people. Everyone felt like family. From the shop owners to the street kids begging for money. I was popular in Tahrir Square.

The call to Adhan which started the mornings, is unmatched and quite depressed we don’t have any of the here in the states.

Cairo is hypnotizing and chaotic. Everyday felt like a rush or natural high.

Crib in a certain spot in New Jersey so I could get to NYC, or the airport or the beach without a hassle..

Love NY but parking is a nightmare.

I want properties out of the country idk where yet tho cuz I visit a lot of places

this man, is a very smart man! elite choice.

northern/ideally central NJ close to NYC is ELITE.

all 4 seasons, close access to nyc, some of the best variety and quality of food out there, close access to beach.

    really elite.

living here my whole life though, id prob say hawaii, but picking one place is very hard

Honestly I'd say visit it first to see how you vibe with it, plus you're doing a good thing cuz you checking out Osaka and Kyoto. I've only been around Tokyo granted I've been all around Tokyo but still you're getting a fuller experience.

literally man. 30 something minutes to NYC while being able to avoid meter maids and all that annoying s***? Hitting the beach in the summer when I need a weekend getaway?? Unbeatable

yessir, really is such a slept on state, such a bad wrap to ppl that only know NJ for the tv show. this is a hot take don't get it twisted, but debatably, one of the best places to be in the summer as a 20 something year old.

I take it your currently based in NYC? where do you typically hit the beach if so, Long Island or jersey?

Hawaii was magical. I stayed on Oahu about 30 mins north of Waikiki. Has everything you want, if youre about nature it's there, if your about people and fun, waikiki offers that. weather was mint. Traversing the northern point of the island was a bit taxing cause it tmk is one road in and one road out type of thing so traffic can happen easily. food was hmmmm. im not sure im the biggest fan of polynesian cuisine and the native hawainn cuisine (maybe just did not get a good exp of it) so cant necessarily speak on it.

and things are just naturally more expensive out there so theres that.

all in all magical place though, being 6 hours behind my ppl on the east coast was a cool sort of unplugged feel (never been to Europe so was first time on big time difference)

Within the states, prob Florida or remain where I’m at. Outside the country, maybe a Caribbean country like Bahamas or African country. I like UAE as well.

ngl I go to Jersey lol Long Island is cool but isnt worth the travel to me lol

Plus it's like more of a weekend getaway.

Hawaii sounds fire man, I heard they're having a tourist problem or something thats why I held off on visiting

  • Back to Kenya asap but for now I’m good in the ATL suburbs. Everywhere else in USA just seems too expensive, cramped, or spread apart

Is your wife not french then? I chose Berlin cause my partner (born in Canada) still has family out there and German citizenship through her mom

nah so we're both american but she has dual irish citizenship so shoutout to the EU we've spent some time living in paris and berlin, she is a dance teacher and really thrived in those cities. she speaks french pretty conversationally which is a plus, i'm slowly learnin it lol
