Today I started working out again after like a month or two of doing nothing. Already feel like 10x better

Try meditation for the mind.
The spirit will eventually fall into place if you got two of them sorted
I go 4 times a week and I still scream in my pillow each morning realizing I survived the night

This happened to me too, I think people painting any one thing as the "one true solution" to feeling good are being a little naive about just how different each person is.
For some folk, it takes a lot. Like I try to do yoga + meditate and practice a lot of self care to go along with the exercise. I know people who don't even exercise and they're okay. I know some who just meditate and are okay. But for me I need everything.

Yeah that’s very true, everyone is different
Working out definitely helps me but it’s not a cure
If I don’t workout for more than 3 days, I feel completely out of it and need my dose of gym to feel ok again
But when life gets in a way, it can be difficult to hit gym consistently
I still hit at least 3 days a week but would like 4 but that doesn’t happen sometimes when I’m busy
