Im unhappy because life sucks
The first thing that pops into my mind is suicide
does this stem from a feeling of hopelessness?
Exercise? These kids don’t even go outside
Whole pandemic they were homeschooled and chilled on their phones/PC/playstation all day lol
I exercise more for the mental improvement more than the physical. Though the physical part is also a benefit
It def always makes me feel better after a good work out
It really helps you get out all that negative emotion you’re feeling. At least, it works for me anyways
It ain’t no cure for my depression but it helps cope with it just that much more
I might have just the solution for you
Your not wrong.
Since I’ve stopped a couple years ago my life has been worse honestly.
More of just being active and actually being outside, which could be done through exercise
This isn’t true
I was unhappy and a fat f*** last April
I started dieting and exercising
Still on the same diet and routine and I’m down about 55 pounds
I am still unhappy
good thread @op
reminds me of this tweet I saw today

Good idea tho
I might have just the solution for you
This only applies if you are just sad, but not actually clinically depressed
I've been under work induced depression before and my workout sessions only release enough dopamine to last the night

Speak for yourself. Working out + meditation got me out of being suicidal for months
Speak for yourself. Working out + meditation got me out of being suicidal for months
Was it the working out and meditation that solved it or something else?
How tf does working out make you not want to hang yourself?
What was causing the suicidal thoughts in the first place?
I mean it's different if you were inside all day for months from the pandemic. Anyone would go crazy, so I can see working out and meditating that problem
If working out feels like too much of a hurdle to cross, I’d recommend thinking about it as oxygenation more than anything else. Even just going for a nice 30 min walk or doing calisthenics or yoga will help stimulate your brain and body and begin to make the whole process that much less intimidating.
Also it’s hilarious that OP forgot to switch accounts on the first page but it’s also impressive as f*** how well he came back from it

definitely worth a read

It was. They were the biggest factors to calming down my nerves and keeping me grounded. I started appreciating my body and mind again. Definitely reinforced a ton of good things that paid off over time. Meditation taught me ways to be my own therapist. A lot of s*** they teach you I innately picked up that way
What was causing suicidal thoughts is none of your business I’m afraid.
That said working or being active out should be something every man should do as a basic requirement to live a good life.
That's my redpill for the day

Every person who is capable of doing so should tbh
I know the whole sleep + diet + exercise thing is parroted to death but it’s for good reason
Ever since I started working out at 5 in the morning I been more depressed
Deadass i was the saddest ive been in a while when i started working out
thank god for meditation tho
it aint a magic cure-all, but if you aren't celebrating the reality of you being blessed with a human body through exercise, you aren't giving yourself a fighting chance against depression
