The industry doesn't let you make the music you want unless it's making money

my marketing isn't fabricated stories - I'm literally just telling people to listen to my music (and most people seem to really enjoy my music)

Sonically it’s fire but it’s not traditional singing, yknow? Like he made it work for himself lol

Still requires some level of control - there are some people that will always sound trash (singing) regardless of what effects you put on their voice

It is meritocratic. The people who say that always ignore the artists before them that had to grind a lifetime to get to their spot. Some are more lucky some aren’t. Stop making excuses for yourself.

It is definitely a world of fabrication and evil though

If you're referring to hip hop - that's definitely not true. True for indie/alternative artists

Had I known that the music (industry) was so fabricated, and that almost everything is fake (nonmeritocratic) - not only would I have loved (and identified with) music much less, but it wouldn't feel (to me) any different than watching some WWE s***.

    Now you know. What now?
