Ayy, appreciate the honest feedback.
Glad you liked the first song (BOOM)
We actually did a video to it, as well.
yo, nerdy fact here, but part of your video was shot where travis scott shot the music video for "that b**** crazy" back in 2011. i recognized it instantly. you guys are either from texas or california i assume? vid is tight

5/10. Beat is solid, flow is in the pocket, but the lyrics, honestly, are kinda corny. Lyrically, it feels like you don't what you're tryna be. The bars are abstract but not witty enough to justify their abstractness. I don't get much from it lyrically either, like, I don't know what this is trying to evoke.
5/10 shows promise though. It means it's an average song. A 10 would be a defining piece of music, a 9 is a defining piece of a genre, an 8 is a top-shelf body of work, a 7 is a good song, a 6 is a decent song. This was an average song imo, but there's no reason to be discouraged by that. It's a solid starting point. Keep it up!
And what it's really going for is a very raw view on a very raw talent. Transparency of Growth. But also somewhat of a starting point to a whole concept. Like water is for the roots.

Backstroke, backstroke I be swimming in that
Tap out, tap out before I slip up in here
Pink Dolphin garments I'm fitted for rap
Flood through her garden won't get my kids back
is also my favorite 4-bar sequence of mine I have to admit, so I'm mad biased lol

I watched the first one. 7/10. I like the ideas on here a lot, I just wish the songs landed more of a punch. The remixes are cool as f***, esp the Danny Brown remix. But I just feel like the songs lack a certain kind of momentum to drive the project fully. Good stuff though!

6/10 for the first one, 5/10 for the second one. they don't have much identity or gravitas, but they're both structurally sound projects. i'd like to see a bit more individuality. but it's a solid start!

YO MY BAD, REREVIEW. your second song started playing in a different tab and it sounded like two different tracks. but it was my computer being weird lmao.
8/10. your first song is excellent. a tighter mix and a slightly snappier song structure would benefit it greatly. but it was awesome man, you got some serious talent. gonna listen to the whole compilation today!

3/10. Sorry man, I don't wanna be a d***, but this was all over the place. the mix is really messy, the songs are overproduced, and lots of it is kinda outta tune. the song structures are absolutely shapeless too. but you do have an original style fundamentally, so keep at it. plus, i'm just a random guy on the internet, so who gives a f*** ab my opinion. do your thing dude!
4/10. it's way too overproduced, but the ambition doesn't go unnoticed. the song sounds like an ambient track with may too much going on, and never really takes form. the ornamental aspects of the music, like the vocal processing, atmosphere, song structure, etc, are interesting. but the full package is messy and sounds unfinished imo.
