a new burner account just reposted a recent photo of mine on their story and tagged me with this text and i'm actually terrified and so confused and disgusted i don't know what to say
i really hope this is somehow a joke, but there's literally no one in my life who would do this kind of thing for fun

It's time to start carrying mace. Maybe confront him the next time you notice him? I know it's scary but he won't do anything in a public place

i secured my front door with this thing that i bought to use at my old apartment (since moving to my new place, i didn't feel the need to use it because he didn't know where i lived anymore)
i think i'm going to go to the police tomorrow morning

but I totally get it, this is what he wants. To make you feel powerlessI know it will be difficult to act friendly but maybe the next time you see him, try to walk up and be all cordial. Ask how he's doing and mention that some weirdo is stalking you on IG but you got the police involved and they're making progress on identifying who it is

She doesn't know for sure if it's this guy and he'll probably try to deny it/gaslight her if she straight out accuses him. My thinking is by doing that, the posts will stop without her having to outright confront him
But it's a tough situation, I doubt the police will help at all with the current information she has

I asked my cop father and he said there's really only three things to do1) report to the police asap and DO NOT TELL him that you did - cut all ties
2) get mace
3) change locks/get cameras/enhance security and keep bf with you as much as you canI know this doesn't seem like enough but it's all you can do for peace of mind without provoking this sick entitled f***
my pig dad said that statistically, yr probably going to be safe if that's any consolation
