Well there's usually only one prevailing general consensus, thats why its called that.

When has there ever been a general consensus on Drake post 2015?

So you said there are people that like him, dislike him, and are indifferent yet you’re still confused? Lol isn’t that generally the case

Didn’t get into Kendrick until a couple years ago I’ve been following drakes career since he was on degrassi. His music isn’t timeless but it gets the job done for the vibes, but yeah he’s too formulaic I think he should’ve gracefully left after SH3

in most situations there is going to be a lot more indifference/fencesitting/“i was just here cause it was entertaining ngl” than there is people staunchly taking positions

right now when a lot of people think of drake, the not like us beat starts playing in their head, if he were to drop a single/project that the gen public felt was undeniably good/a return to form then the talking points you currently see swimming aroind his name would shift a bit

I know everyone has their own take on everything but there's usually a general consensus and I can't figure out what it is here.

Some people were elated to see him finally get booted out of the culture and ngl I was in this group. He was seen as a bad actor, imitator, and generally weird guy. It wasn't just a beef, it was a cultural takedown.

Then you have the stans that are for him regardless.

But I'm unsure about the third group, the ones that have no stake in the game and were just there for the drama and music, and either want him to come back despite all the things he's been exposed for, or are indifferent. Does this group hold general consensus? Has the rap fandom really been breached this badly?

What do you mean by imitator ? What did he imitate ?

Also, what you mean by bad actor?? Like his acting skills?

    U didn't like Degrassi ??

He’s damaged, VERY damaged but not OUT culturally and he has a pathway to “redemption” as a public figure and as a Hip-Hop artist IMO. The only thing that would truly end him would be if he was truly exposed for the things Kendrick was accusing him of, and even then, he will always have his fan base.

Op prolly talking about culture vulture s***, I think it’s getting to the point where they feel like drake has been called out on it so much that it’s time for elimination

But truth be told no one really care about this lol

    Zero

Its up should've dropped after not like us

Would've been an easy top 10 and his perception would be completely different

I think the opposite he was smart to wait. It would look weak and be seen as an immediate response that wasn't a diss back. Much like I'm Upset.

That being said it's a better move than releasing Heart Part 6.

yeah, they have always existed - from ghostwriting to hiding a child. Been a Drake fan for a minute, many don’t accept him this is nothing new

But if yall wanna judge by social media comments then I guess Drake is cooked?
