Social media comments being the reason why drake is cooked is hilarious, get off ya phones s*** isn’t real

  • To Drake fans he's still that guy. To Hip Hop purists he was never embraced or respected and they feel stronger in their opinions now, To Hip Hop NFR Podcast watcher casuals he lost the battle but is still respected - probably will be their No1 on Spotify at the end of year especially if he drops a Carti / Yeat sounding song. To the General Public TikTok/ YT Shorts watcher / People who only Hip Hop loosely Drake is a pedophile.

They been saying his rep been damaged for a while that don’t change anything tbh

No, he’s always had loud critics and haters, but his rep wasn’t damaged. Now post beef, his rep is damaged. Nothing is really working for him and he’s been doing some damage control with the PND collab album and him unloading behind the scenes content for his fans

Feeding the fans is something Drake has always done, after a project he always cooking up another

He just had a crazy show here in Toronto where fans embraced him like nothing changed, again yall forcing the damaged narrative but it doesn’t really exist

The only reason Drake’s career hasn’t tanked completely is that the pedo allegations haven’t been fully confirmed besides the damning evidence

  • Aug 8, 2024

Overall he is top 2 and not 1

When has there ever been a general consensus on Drake post 2015?

Always? Pre-beef he had a mostly positive reception. Of course he had his naysayers, but that was still the prevailing opinion, as supported by the numbers and general discussion around him - mostly positive. Now its more mixed than he's EVER been, probably because people have such low stakes in the genre

Only thing Kendrick did wrong was wait damn near 10 years to end Drake. Real ones knew what he was by 2015.

Mmm well I’m just giving my opinion like you but I’ve always seen him as a polarizing figure in the sense of having a lot of fans and a lot of detractors that also was a relatively easy target for criticism whether it was his music, his personal life, or whatever. Obviously the beef magnified a lot of those criticisms, but as we’re moving more towards the long term post beef climate I really just see it returning to the mean with maybe a slight shift in the negative direction contingent on his next project and how it resonates with the GP

    Not really

But also, kind of sort of?

  • It was just a battle man, regardless of the fact that these two were tryna take each other out and prolly still are. The battle is between THEM. Drake fans do not gaf

I'd bet on the general consensus of Drake not really changing - ie, he'll still be number 1 in terms of popularity who also isn't taken as seriously as some other artists. But this is nothing new - the famous drake memes, the pusha t beef, whatever else. I could be wrong, but we won't really know until he drops an album. Overall, likely nothing changed.

Just had this weird thought of how other rappers would fare in his position with all of the suspicious evidence surrounding the allegations, and I'm truly unsure if any would lose it all. I'm not sure if that's more of a testament to celebrity privilege, the rap fandom in particular, or people in general.

I live in LA so the circles I'm in are very biased but nobody f***ing with him anymore here

Of course there's normal people who didn't give a s*** about the beef and will listen to the 3 or 4 songs he has playlisted at any given time

We won't know what the masses think until his next album rollout. I'm curious how it will go. The bulk of his fanbase aren't even fans of rap so I don't think it will be effected that much
