Really thankful & glad to hear that, every moment we get to spend with our pets is something to cherish fr. I hope you & your dog the best man, we just gotta be thankful that we’ve got this much time with them & have been able to give them a good home and make the best out of the short life that they’re given

We're gonna be putting her down today. I'm sad but I knew this day was coming for a while. When I originally made this thread I wasn't sure if she was gonna make it through the weekend. Not only did she make it through the weekend, she made it 7 months. She was a fighter.

She'll be in dog heaven soon eating her fav treats and running as far and wild as she wishes too

I had to put my dog of 13 years in January this year, so I know what you're going through, OP.
To make matters worse, he was my dad's and mine, and my dad passed away in October of 2019, so only a couple of months before we had to put the dog down.
I had so many memories of playing with the dog with my dad, my family, etc.It was one of the worst days of my life, cause it all happened so unexpectedly, in a matter of a couple of hours, basically.
It's gonna get better and in time, you will only be left with the good memories and the feeling of gratefulness for having spent all those years with your four-legged friend.

Thank you for this. It’s a bit similar for me. It was my mom’s idea to get her, my mom named her, she was of course a dog for the whole family but there is a big connection there with my mom who also passed, albeit 5 years ago. So sorry for your losses.
