glad ur having fun reviewing these tho.. oh

i highly suggest treats by sleigh bells & love remains by how 2 dress well, very interested in ur reviews

Some of my favorite albums are slow burners… I didn’t like the Earl album SRS for like two years

Since you’re not the only one to comment about scores I’ll try it without them for now

When we reach 25 I plan to do a tier list anyway

    Btw… that Drake album is heat I don’t give a f***

Day 13: Flying Lotus - Cosmogramma

This is an album that was ahead of its time, hasn't aged a day and that I listen to occasionally. So this wasn't a first listen or even to refresh my memory, but it's so crazy to me this came out with all these other album just because of how timeless and unique the production here still is.

The drums, the mixing, the rhythms, the arps, the pads, the psychedelia, the strings, the fusion with jazz, the basslines (s/o to Thundercat). It's all really trippy and warm.

Highlights are basically everything but especially, Pickled!, Zodiac S***, Mmmhmm (all with Thundercat), Do The Astral Plane, ...and the World Laughs With You, Galaxy In Janaki. All these songs just have top tier production, they change and develop throughout and are still memorable, catchy and harmonic.

Love everything about this album. Don't even have much to say because the music speaks for itself. But it's Flylo's best album and a classic and I think it did a lot for electronic and experimental music in the 2010s. One of my favorite "producer albums" for sure. Listen while high. Plus that cover is insane and compliments the album so much.
