i dont think its a bad choice bc its not like ur saying these are the worst
Ur just reviewing albums that have received hate and that soulja boy album was definitely considered horrible by hella rap fans in real time
I deleted his album from the list but not the review. If I can't get a little roasted why am I even here.
Its actually hilarious how he refuses to break the concept even for one line
Might be the most tight knit concept album i ever heard its legit a front to back story lmao
It's actually funnier when you realize this is what he criticizes most rappers for - going off topic. His songs are airtight theme wise.
Little fun fact that blows everyone’s mind
This dude is younger then Travis Scott lmao
no f***ing way lol i thought he's in his 30s already back when that Oh My God song dropped, and he's just 32 now
We Go High is so beautiful, always loved it. This album might have some very corny songs but overall it's the best album of this list from OP so far
"Don't be mad cause the kids like me"
This album and the controversy surrounding it is around its mega hit "Crank That", this is basically the first viral hit ever as it blew a rapper to stardom and getting a major label deal just off of fans sharing it online and bringing it into real life.
It shocked people so much because at the time, it was somewhat against the values of hip hop, simplified, repetitive party music. Even mainstream rappers at the time had to have subject matter and rapping ability to gain a fanbase and even get themselves a debut album. Sure there were some bad albums but they weren't a huge success like this.
It's also important to point out the hate surrounding it might've had to do with ppl hating on snap/crunk music in general.
So is the album good? Is it a misunderstood classic? Not really. Except for the hits, the album is basically "Crank That" stretched to album length. With multiple songs even sampling or reusing lines from "Crank That" as hooks. "Crank That" was made on Garage Band so the other beats have to be (and half of them are ass).
There is no deeper meaning or theme to the lyrics whatsoever, it's just "I'm cool, I have style, deal with it". I think in today's standards for hip hop the lyrics sound better but the beats sound worse. I would describe the music as stupid. But it's fun. I think it's a fun guilty pleasure but not something I could consider good music. I don't think it would make people that mad today but it deserves respect for "ruining hip hop" just for being different.
Best: Crank That, Yahhh!, Report Card, Don't Get Mad.
Worst: Snap and Roll, Donk, Soulja Girl.
FUN BAD/10
soulja girl the worst song
had to break my christmas break no internet interaction rule for that 1, op u better be banned when im back in 2 days
i legit listen to soulja girl to this day its like the only song from that album for me like that, the chorus is infectious and the beat is nice asl
I remember listening to rappers liebe on discord in 2018 and initially we were all laughing our asses off but by the end people were legit pissed at this album being so bad, even oh my god didn’t help. But the most astonishing fact about this dude is that he was born in 92 but I straight up thought he was in his 40s by the time I listened to this album. I could not believe this
YO I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS
Should I include a Viper album in this or you wouldn’t like it either?
Viper got a nasty ass case

Should I do a Jay-Z & R. Kelly album?
Should I do a Jay-Z & R. Kelly album?
You got... Unfinished business with boffum?
Short review bc this was just boring to me. Not sure why it's rated so low I think ppl just don't like Lil Pump. I mean, I don't like him either but I kinda wanted this to be worse. This is mostly his regular sound except he kinda lost his sauce. A couple of songs feature an R&B song and there's one "rap metal" sound. Wish he made more of these bc it was the only really bad moment here.
Obviously, throughout the album his lyrics are really bad, except this time it's not fun.
Best: Pump Rock x Heavy Metal
BORING/10
Also for some reason only the clean version is on my apple music so that's what I listened to
Not this time you following thru
So I'm thinking like 5 more but they have to be TERRIBLE
Like I want to have something to say about them
I'm looking at RYM scores for references for anything under or around 1 star. But sometimes they just overhate something.
