i don’t get why ppl in the thread are mad at this take at all. this isn’t just an opinion, it’s literally an academic reading of history. many historians and anthropologists in the 21st century would agree.

plain and simple, we are suffering from the effects of a world ruled by white supremacy and colonial order. not much has changed, most countries goal is on par with empires of hundreds of years ago. and these goals are far behind the technology and global networks we have today.

it’s an imbalance and it’s why we’re all so close to the edge today.

don’t understand how this can offend anyone unless....

but i guess that’s the internet, if it’s politically charged and doesn’t completely resonate with your worldview, you’re trained to react emotionally volatile

Ima be very blunt! If colonizers actually adopted the way of life with native Americans, collaborated with cultures and put behind their conquering mentality our whole world would be a lot more peaceful and less f***ed Theres even a book called Ecotopia that dives into some assumptions that we could have used technology to base our economy on the environment, preservation and create a more organic society but we used it to separate ourselves from it and exploit... and it’s obvious why we decided not to go the other way
The last major way of white people setting a NEW standard for how to exploit and corrupt is the industrial revolution

They tried to overturn the election

If the gop had control of the house & won in Georgia the governement would not have certified the election for Biden, you do realize right

that's fear mongerering. it is highly unlikely that, that would have happened. the right aren't facist. again, please tell me what you think facism is.

Trump isn't stalin/mussolini and this isn't a left vs right battle. it's the ruling/elite class of america vs the working/poor class situation. pelosi, nadler, and biden are every bit the enemy as the mcconnell's and the trump's

why is it most people dont vote?

It's harder to vote here than other places, harder again in some states than in others, hours of lines in densely populated cities, it's not a national holiday so a lot of people are working on the day, and people are (rightly) disenchanted with politics and thinking it can improve their life. I think there is an element of the US being resource flush so a lot of people have food and entertainment and (albeit s***ty) jobs to keep them busy. The epidemic definitely closed off some pressure relief valves.

you understand there are fairly reasonable people out there that see you the exact same way right? Crazy radical leftists coming to take away the guns and make church illegal. You’re both buying into media narratives and letting them pit you against eachother. It’s depressing.

I don't disagree with you GOP are s***fucks but the nature of the way beaurocracy is intertwined with the current political system literally makes things you're saying an absolute impossible chance they happen. You just sound crazy when saying oh yeah people are gonna pass legislation brining back slavery like that s*** is not happening. This legit same as qanon crazies talking about commies coming to kill them.

But our system is messed the gop has an advantage in the house with gerrymandering
They have an advantage in the presidency with the electoral college
And they have an advantage in the senate with the 2 per state rule

Well never have any progress towards becoming a social democracy

the US is a pseudo fascist state since its inception already, it’s just existed in a stable enough state where it doesn’t need to persecute white people within its borders for moderate ideologies
