Such a dope backstory behind this production and I hope it’s good

It’s crazy to me how quickly she jumped into producing. She produced Anything But You too which was one of her first leading roles in a movie? Unless I’m missing something

The Voyeurs is good and this is the same director. The trailer for this look promising.

    Never seen it.

Neon is a good distributor. Right between A24 and IFC Midnight. I'm not saying this will be bad, I just don't have any interest in watching it. I still gotta watch St Maud's though. That one was apparently kinda good?

This was a fun and gleefully brutal time, definitely reminiscent of something from Ari Aster or Robert Eggers at points with how unnerving the atmosphere gets throughout it. Goes a tad bit overboard with the jumpscares as it progresses and gets a little hammy towards the last third of it when it becomes more of a thriller than a horror, but overall it's still a strongly enjoyable watch with Sydney Sweeney very much giving one hell of a performance (especially in the last 5 minutes of it, very great ending to me). Suffering is love indeed. 8.5/10

    Does she?

100%. She sells pure terror, confusion, and anger decidedly real well

I'm glad this work was been put together, she fought for it.

The real question is does the Italian show the goods?

  • Mar 21, 2024

it was a bit more "gory" than I expected

but at the same time, it didn't really feel like a horror movie to me? I also thought there would be more of Simona Tabasco

in any case, I don't know if I'll think about this movie in two years, but it's a cool watch, doesn't drag, has some great atmosphere and tension at points
