It's great because it showed that the love for rapping still exists on a huge level. I get tired of trying to tell people that.
This Verzuz was monumental definitely because NOW the world officially knows what a high performance rap show SHOULD look like.
them dudes inspired me CRAZY too, gotta watch this video tho
it was Lowkey sad that hell rell jr writer & un kasa weren’t on stage either, even tho they were at event. such core members during the glory years
Yea man, Dipset left alot to be desired during their set smh.
Good post, hopefully Kanye sees peoples passions for lyrics and the roots of hip-hop
This gen really needed that s*** too lol

Heatmakerz produced Jims entire album in 2019. Great album, check it out if you haven't heard it
Bet, will do. Did you listen to Jims recent album? How is it
I think about this every time I hear someone complain about new rappers. The artists that are 10+ years in and still making good and relevant music are all people who actually rap well and love making music.
Also, I know its fun to kill Dipset right now but I think this is a good lesson for rap fans, cuz truth be told Dipset performed like the majority of rappers performed during their time. 100 niggas on stage, backing vocals, and making it more about being cool than performing the music. Jada and The LOX didn't win cuz we're actually comparing catalogues (although I will say, Dipset's set list was bad and missed A LOT of classics), they won because its so much more fun to watch people who love music do what they do best on stage with the energy it deserves.

But seriously, I was thinking today. People would have died over a show like this in the streets back in their prime days for sure.
Now it's all for a good time. Back then you wouldnt have believed a show like this ever happening
Was telling this girl I was watching it with this. People would have died. No jokes at all.

I still have to find time to watch this. I believe the entire 2 hour thing is on YouTube.
honestly the image of Dipset with the flashy designer clothes whilst The Lox had raw NYC slums attire spoke a lot of volumes as well
Don’t take my hip hop card, but I should delve into the LOX work
Lol same here, I know theyre legends but I’ve only listened to We Are the Streets in full. Why by Jada is one of my fav songs ever so I really need to dive into their work
This a top 5 hip hop moment this year imo
Was so hyped
