Tumblr was on fire at this time. Dope s*** like the seapunk movement. Such diverse times stylistically, had OF, ASAP, MBDTF, WTT, TDE, and then weird fringe acts like Kreayshawn, Riff Raff, Lil B. Queens like Rihanna and LDR dominating. Dubstep and EDM bubbling. When OF blew up the whole internet was feeling that s*** and it sent a wave through pop culture and fashion. Whole culture peaked in this era and will never go higher.

Post more dust reminiscence from this era.

I'll take that over 2010-2013 too.

If you didn't link yonkers as the first video maybe I would have considered it

I'll take that over 2010-2013 too.

That was the BIG/Pac era. Most of the albums we hail as seminal classics come from this window in time, from Illmatic to Life After Death.

  • Sep 19, 2020

Kanye did release 3 classics during that time so ya

  • Sep 19, 2020

2010-13 is the GOAT just off the fact we got Frank Ocean out of that era.

Bro. Kanye sent a wave with MBDTF followed by WTT that was caught by OF and then dissipated slowly thereafter but had all of pop culture firing on all cylindersz

No point in throwing out GOAT for any specific era, even if this being mainly a hip hop board narrows it down significantly. I'll say that in 2011-13 it felt like people were trying to be creative and original in hip hop while now it feels like most people try to sound as homogenous as they can get away with.
