Hard agree. Same s*** with Spotify wrapped. They stop tracking your metrics like two months ahead of time just so you have some s*** to post.

I get December is a slow time but stuff still drops during and it’s not fair they get 0 recognition bc of it

spotify stopping the tracking in december makes sense at least because so many people instantly switch to listening to exclusively christmas music and it'd f*** up everyones lists

but the game awards stopping tracking early makes no sense, its an industry that thrives the most towards the end of the year and the only people it benefits to have it in december are the hosts looking for bigger sponsors during the holidays
