Not in the sense that ones individual personality feelings and traits are bad more so in the idea of one person of the group.
Individuality as I see it is a form of selfishness and greed. Instead of working towards the benefit of our communities and the well being of humanity in general which in turn benefits the individual. For example selfish individuality can ruin something like a team sport where individuality must be used to work as a group. When someone goes rouge and puts themselves above the group it does not work.
I feel that as a society we must return to working together and instead of using individuality and our own gifts to only benefit ourselves we must instead work for the benefit for each other.
I would prob find a different or more specific term for it though
i know what u mean though
Living your life only doing things to benefit you at the expense of other people is poison yeah
was gonna come at op based on the title, but it’s a good point. i just think the wrong word. selfishness is what you’re looking for
you can still be an individual that works with others if you share a common goal at the time, which i feel like most ppl do
I also think individuals who work with others to make things better might attract other people that realize it could work like that
u see somebody u think is cool doing something good u might think hey that sounds like a good idea

this definitely not what the word individuality means but yea its what's inherently wrong with capitalism this idea that if everyone focuses on themselves and only themselves things will be great
not the case

is toxic individuality better ?
It’s just selfishness nothing to do with individuality
It's just human nature, everyone will look after themselves at the end of the day. Their is no such thing as a selfless person.

7+ billion humans on earth +millenia of human history and you're sure that "there's no such thing as a selfless person"
Idk, imo, it seems like modern history tainted our view of what human potentially is/can be

I had this argument with a group of friends over America and the idea of society and individualism.
We agreed that strong individuals (take strong however you want to) in order to create a strong society, and you need a strong society to support all the strong individuals in the community.
What we disagreed is the nuance of whether individuals are weak in America right now, or if America is more isolationist defined as in "me over everyone else." The difference is that you can be a strong individual in order to contribute to society. One of the homies believed that you can't force society communal living without supporting people's weakness's and letting them stay weak.
