I’m not sure about the business dealings behind this situation but when it comes to the sound of the album Carti did the right thing

Too many niggas been biting his style from his previous work. Don’t hit the same fr niggas built whole careers off that s***. Producers been hopped on Pierre wave too

He had to switch it up. He’s in a lane of his own now imo. Melodic songs on here next level. The hype tracks insane. Production is incredible. He really took what Uzi, Future, Thug been doing and added some noise to it

This new s*** doesn’t sound as safe and I love it

With all the backlash it got, I went into the album thinking it was gonna be awful and it was actually decent. Is all the backlash just because it wasn’t commercial enough? Like it’s not bad for what it is so I don’t understand
