i think its almost impossible for an album thats been this anticipated to hit for the masses, bc everyone wants something diff. you got some people who will want the leaks to make it, others who dont. some want another Die Lit, others want a new sonic direction. no matter what you put out, someone will be unhappy

and so the a***ogy i keep hearing is that this is "Carti's Yeezus". i can agree with that. i think this will be an album that will age gracefully. especially after people have had time to digest the damn music (and not be so quick to have overarching knee-jerk reactions) + the original expectations people had for the album dissipate

I seen a lot of people bring up “last second” additions on the album. Y’all have to understand that most artists work best when it’s crunch time. That 2 weeks before the album is due can be more productive and more creative than months of work

the pause on Place isn't even a "problem," like it takes two seconds to remove it in Audacity you don't need an engineer to fix it or anything, which leads me to believe that - as stupid as it is - it's totally intentional

I pretty much agree with all this tbh, and I don't even love the album or anything - I just fw the integrity of putting out what HE wants to instead of just doing what the label or the 15 year old d***riding fans want.

there aren't a whole lot of artists left in the game these days, so kudos to him for putting out what he wanted, even if it burnt some bridges

(that being said I probably enjoy EA more personally, but that's neither here nor there to your argument, which I fw)
