Violent J wrote a whole book about it called Behind the Paint...definitely an interesting story that would make for a crazy film

it's not bad...their singles tend to be not as great as some of the album cuts though...hoping it's a good album and am staying away from the itunes snippets that are making rounds lol

Bear album I should check out?
If you meant to say best I would suggest starting with The Riddlebox or The Great Milenko which are most commonly considered their best albums...their last record Fearless Fred Fury was also one of their best in years as well

!https://youtu.be/jCaDskPoVgoIt’s a cool video, idk how I feel about the song itself though.
Violent J's also been in rehab lately struggling with an oxy addiction so some of this album might reflect those issues as well as his other recent health problems
Gotta keep in mind ICP music is largely them playing characters though so something like this Wretched track isn't so much their own POV but rather playing the role of a bitter, awful person who lashes out and blames others for their unhappiness

It's an odd choice for a single but I suppose they went with something darker for the Halloween release...does get a bit repetitive though
Yeah I peeped em out. The clowns definitely ain't what they used to be, but ima check em out regardless.

I'm avoiding them so I can listen to the album fresh...I really enjoyed their last album all in all and am hoping for more of the same with this one and maybe a few surprises thrown in as well...will check in again next week when it drops!
Not a fan of the music but I definitely admire their success as independent artists (not for nothing, Westside Gunn’s merch game and ties to wrestling have always brought these guys to mind). Sucks Violent J’s not doing well health-wise.
Edit: Actually, I do kind of like that one “Chicken Huntin’” remix. Very Cypress Hill/Beatnuts vibe.
Nice single
Gotta appreciate the longevity and the fact that after all these years they are still staying true to their art form.

I'd love a Westside Gunn/ICP collab but idk if that's ever happening lol I definitely see the similarities there though...both have a love for wrestling (ICP actually were wrestlers and worked under WWF, WCW, and TNA along with plenty of indie promotions) and Psychopathic's merch game at one point was something pretty much any other indie act was jealous of...Tech N9ne's talked about touring their warehouse when Strange Music was getting started and was inspired by how they did their merch...Odd Future's early run reminded me of ICP/juggalos too...the way they just acted outrageously in public and in the music, Tyler jumping from balconies onto crowds, etc.
the music itself is an acquired taste and I'll never argue that lol I can completely understand how someone could listen to their music and it just not be for them...my argument though is they've released so much music since the early 90's that I feel like it's impossible not to find some songs in their collection that can be enjoyed by anyone (as you mentioned with the Chicken Huntin song which seems to be a popular one amongst casual/non juggalo listeners)
