With entergalactic and puss in boots (must watch) utilizing this style, is it safe to say this is the next step in 3d animation?

That vibrant, stylistic, animated look is just so beautiful to look at. Such a feast for the eyes and much better than pixar-esque realistic animation

I think studios should implement this style more but add their own twists like puss in boots did.
