Hoping DC animation starts to implement this style when they don't do full 2d features. That Super sons movie animation was booty cheeks.

Current DC animation is trash so I hope for that as well

So I'm at work, we're talking about Into The Spiderverse and how dope it is. It's like my favorite movie tbh. And my boy gone say it was good but he wishes it was live action. If I had heat vision he would have become a pack right then and there

Completely agree. I think they should use this style as a framework but do their own spin on it to make it unique. Puss and boots did a good job with this

I was about to mention the episode "The Witness" from Love Death + Robots, but I found out was done by the art director of the spiderverse film, Alberto Mielgo. I also found this video that apparently he was fired 2 years into making the film by Sony, but a lot of his work was still used by the studio and he was only credited as a "visual consultant". He's a big reason that the film looks the way that it does and it probably would've looked even better if he was able to finish his work

    That’s wild
Kinda f***ed up but it’s cool his vision stuck around in some form. He changed the industry for the better

    Gonna check the video

I have the art book for the spider verse movie that has a lot of his early concepts for the movie. It was interesting to see how much more detailed he wanted the movie to look vs how it came out. Not to say one is better then the other but the vision looked amazing.

It's the type of movie old white conservatives would accuse of being part of the "Hollywood SJW agenda". The type of person I envision really relating to the main character in this movie is a girl who speaks in The Office quotes, describes herself as "quirky🤪", dyes a blue or green streak into her hair and goes to college for an art/design course so she can have a phase where she experiments with other women for a few years

Everyone in this movie was just so annoying
