The actual issue is that people aren't speaking up about this enough because they are afraid to be labeled as islamophabic.

Why are these young women going against the establishment (sharia law)? It is because Islamic law in regards to women rights is all the way f***ed up.

    Why shouldn't Islam be criticized?

You need to make a distinction between Islam and culture and until you do so you will be considered islamophobic.

There are dozens of countries that follow the Islamic religion that do not force women to wear the hijab. You are not forced to wear the hijab in Islam, but the patriarchy and misogyny forces Women to do so. Misogyny and the patriarchy is haram in Islam. The Quran puts an emphasis that Women and Men are equal under the eye of god. In Islam we believe that we follow what the Prophet PBUH does. He treated all women in his life with the upmost respect and love.

Why not criticize the culture in these countries instead ? The patriarchy and misogyny exists in Western civilization too. Attacking Islam does NOTHING but ruin the entire point of what these Women are fighting for.

Islam as a religion does not spread violence and hatred

All religions are awesome and good for muslim countries like Turkey and Jordan that don't govern based on Islamic Sharia Law. Me myself I think very highly of Muslim Arab Khalifas that were good politicians like Mwaviyeh, Haroun al Rashid etc.. during their reign there was progress. But the Ulemma f***ed it up man. They f***ed it all the way up , and the islamist madressas and hawzas they run are cess pools. When those b******s gain power like they have in Afghanistan and Iran the only way out is to resist their bullshit instead of normalizing it.

The prophet did what he did back then and he did some nice things too and as a follower you are free to follow the positive things follow it as you wish, all the power to you. But no matter how pure you belive the prophet was you gotta realize that the judicial code laid out in a 1400yr old scripture mixed with 7th century Arab traditions ain't fit to be used as a model to govern 21st century people.

Americans and brits can only f*** it up by getting involved. Look at the damage the BBC reporter done. I watch the Islamic regimme media and they non stop quoting Rana Rahimpour, it's sickening.

Setting free from the guardianship of the islamic jurist is a process that requires Education and mass awareness.. That's why the new generation is in the forefront of the uprisings

Once people are aware they will stop respecting the theocracy in charge and stop involving Mullahs in their every day business. That takes the power away from them.

Like my grand dad when he died in his will he specified no Mullahs allowed in his funeral. My physician friend who is a pediatrician tells me that even in villages most the new borns are given Iranian names by their parents instead of Arab Imam names.
To you as a muslim this might seem disrespectful but frankly f*** your feelings.

Na i dont find it disrespectful, living in a theocracy is insane

I also said s*** wont change because the army supports the regime, right? Until a coup is possible, they will just brute force and beat down the protesters and people will eventually give up

Cause a lot of muslim countries exist (they arent perfect either) and iranian regime is the only s***hole going this extreme. Like even saudis wont do this s***

You are saying Arab Traditions. That is culture. NOT religion. No one knows what a middle eastern country would look like with a democratic government which follows Islam, because sadly it does not exist. They are all corrupt and use the religion to justify their wrong doings.

What he means by Arab traditions is that the religion inherently reflects the 7th century Arab traditions of the time and place in which Islam was born, because religion and culture are very closely related

No it does not. If I play devils advocate and say raping women and sentencing protestors to death is Arab tradition, where in the Quran or where did the Prophet PBUH said to do any of these things? These are all sins under Islam. So explain to me how this has any correlation with religion at all ? I can tell barely any here has read the Quran, and it shows because you have no idea what you are talking about.

You are still spewing Islamophobic rhetheroic.

I didn't say that any specific thing the Islamic Republic does is directly traceable to things people did in the 7th century

HE said "But no matter how pure you believe the prophet was you gotta realize that the judicial code laid out in a 1400yr old scripture mixed with 7th century Arab traditions ain't fit to be used as a model to govern 21st century people”

You said “You are saying Arab Traditions. That is culture. NOT religion.”

I’m saying that if the prophet lived in 7th century Arabia, and the Quran dates back to that time, it is inherently influenced by the culture of the people who were the original Muslims. I am not saying that the Islamic Republic’s interpretation of the Quran is necessarily valid or faithful.

Are you saying that the Quran, and the religion that claims it is the word of God, is not influenced at all by 7th century Arabia?

Surah Al-Anfal is about war tokens. In Surah Al Nour the almighty says some good things like don't pimp out and force your slave girls to have s***with others which is awesome and progressive for the time I guess. You and I know that having slave girls is bad in 21st century but these Hizbullahi's on Islamic regimme payroll believe they are fighting with infidels and the girls they capture are war tokens because the Ulemma said so according to the book. These idiots believe Arab traditions during 7th century Islam is the best way. To them that is real Islam.
Good on you for calling them out tho.
