twitter b****es just wake up to yap
This post is so condescending lol
You came at me in your first reply by calling me a white man and comparing “bitch” to the “nigga”
And I replied saying it’s not the same
Then you replied using a slur to make a “point” knowing that both that word and “bitch” do not have the same effect or historical significance towards others.
And you mentioned black women when the tweet only spoke about women in general, which is what I was referring to in that post.
Women in general have experienced oppression and language reflects that. I just mentioned Black women bc it honestly seemed the only way to communicate that to you. I could have mentioned Asian (American) women. I could have mentioned Indigenous women, African and otherwise. Anishinaabe women assaulted bc their body symbolized and symbolizes settler control of the land. I could have mentioned women with an appeal to racialization too, but that battle would have seemingly been very very uphill
Yes, men have used words like b**** when degrading women in various contexts, making it a slur
Having to spell out stuff like this generally results in a condescending tone. There’s no reason in 2023 to have to come to an understanding about history this immense and clearly documented
Inabilities to hold two or more forms of discrimination as ‘equally’ serious is an unfortunate but widespread dilemma. It’s interesting to point out. If you want to continue thinking one word isn’t a slur bc women also use it, while not seeing how that argument would be dumb as hell in a more relevant context to you, well, ok then. My initial comment stands 🤷🏾♂️
