Should he keep making attempts to keep the relationship (rap) alive or just end it?

now that u mention it, drake not having his own I Used to Love H.E.R-esque hip-hop romance epic yet is shocking

he actually does and I think there's many songs where he plays with the idea but doesn't announce it

Idk why no one touches on the revealing line about him and his dad.. it’s the closest I’ve ever heard him come to acknowledging what everyone seems so desperate for him to acknowledge: that his lifestyle maaaay be empty. Or the issues he probably has when his dad’s been lacing him with that perspective on women for his entire life

  • Feb 23, 2025

Honestly I get it. My dad (before he got dementia) seems like he was the same cut as Drake’s dad. Not a very good traditional father who was a rolling stone type and gives bad advice about women. It’s hard not to take those ideals and apply them to yourself because your dad can be your hero so you don’t want to accept they’re wrong even if it’s in your face

Totally, and the thing is Drake has the means and celebrity to be the most extreme version of what he would have to think would impress his father..
