games take sooo long to come out nowadays but still get announced years ahead of time and still come out with bugs and so many patches/dlc

consoles already cost so much then you gotta pay a bundle for the games and the online services when most of the online used to be free

ps5 is still hard to find and sonys raising the price everywhere outside of america

nintendo went from desperate to sell wii us and 3ds’ to getting greedy as s***

it’s no surprise s*** like Fortnite runs the industry nowadays

I never understood how gamers are right wingers and don't understand how capitalism, especially the big corporations, ruined gaming, all the while complaining about DLCs, lootboxes and all the other crap all day

And some of them even complain and still buy lmao

not sure. i def have stopped playing much, but honestly id blame that all on battle royale wayyyyyy more than what you are talking about, but i guess DLC and BR go hand in hand. personally playing the same game mode for 6 or so years now has bored tf outta me.

im so glad i never fell into this mindset

with game pass, all the countless new indie games, or replaying older games with better hardware, theres always something at least somewhat new to try

There is much s*** out there that tbh gaming will never die. You can always download an emulator and go thru lots of gems

This what i do, play older games the majority of the time, and sometimes sum new like Monster Hunter

  • Aug 25, 2022

I just don't have time anymore. I grind out hours on specific games to get good at them but I can't put in 10+ hours on dozens of games.

Just played through Midnight Fight Express on gamepass and had a good ass time

If y’all only out here playing nothing but triple AAA titles then no wonder you think gaming dead

    It feels kinda dead yeah

Might be the age tho. When I was in high school everyone was gaming and going to midnight releases for example, for the new CoD. Kinda miss those times. Maybe the high school kids still play like us back in the day.

I wouldn't say it's dead. But all of the constant pushback and botched releases definitely really hurt the momentum of gaming

But there is still PLENTY of games to look forward to

    Callisto Protocol
    Hogwats Legacy
    GOW Ragnarok
    Starfield
    BOTW 2
    Final Fantasy XVI
    Alan Wake 2
    Wolf Among Us 2

2023 will be really great. And owning a Series X and PS5 will start to pay off

Because adding any video game character that isn’t a fictional alien or some CIS white male is automatically angering and breaks reality of whatever very realistic game they are playing
