Yeah. You risk something being honest with people you care about. There's potential conflict and confrontation involved. Most aren't capable of doing it.

That's why it's so important to hold onto the ones who will tell you when you're f***ing up.

Reminds me of one of my favorite Neil Young verses:

But the subways are empty
And so are the cafes
Except for the farmer's market

You're all just pissin' in the wind
You don't know it but you are
And there ain't nothin' like a friend

It's hard, can't tell you how I did it I just met different people and some of them stuck. Over time I learned how to filter them and keep in touch with real friends. I have 4-5 people in my life I would consider true friends.
