CKL TMLRushed??? He never worked on an album that long.
Yeah this is definitely arguable for sure. To me and a few other people it just always felt like CLB was Drake rushing to compete with Kanye so he got a bag of leaked music together & then rushed to record a handful of new songs and then slapped it all together.
It just didn't feel like he properly cared about creating a top tier album, it just felt like CLB was more of a "job" rather than him wanting to put together something special. I completely understand if yall disagree tho .

The album was supposed to release in January, before Ye ever announced anything. Ye was waiting for Drake to drop, not the other way around. Dark Lane was leaks and demos put together, not CLB

MidnightOVOHe’s less than a year off of his 2nd tear in the same knee. When CLB dropped it was even sooner.
How long was Klay Thompson out with his first tear? And he’s a top class athlete.
Combined with the pandemic and especially Canada’s restrictions, Drake probably just felt to sit this one out. He’s been throwing a lot of time into his business ventures which I’m sure is making up the touring money.
And don’t forget about those captions and the studio pics. He’s working on new music, they’ve subtlety teased a surprise drop.
I think he’ll drop again soon and tour off of both of those. Similar to Weeknd, without the whole announcing it and canceling it on his fans thing

There’s nothing to support he “clearly” doesn’t want to go on tour.. he posted like multiple times over the pandemic how much he misses performing.
It’s likely that his team wants to be sure they can make a tour happen without Covid interferences and they’re just playing it extra safe

I think it was on one of OVOMark’s IG lives while they were vacationing right after the drop. A fan asked a question about a deluxe and mark replied back talking about how Drake’s already back to work and I think Oliver cut in teasing that Drake is working on a new project not just deluxe. Something along those lines…idk the word for word

I've already bet with a few people that we're getting another project by the end of this year. It's almost too obvious
