Nas does not have 3 classics
You probably started listening to rap this year
MOTM1
MOTM2
THE SCOTTS soon come
If the title track is on it its already impossible
So far we seem to agree on Nas and Hov for the most part. I've seen Big Boi, El-P and Blu be suggested in the thread and I personally agree with those picks.
Nas does not have 3 classics
That’s true, he has more
just say you don't like rap music
I mean people saying nas doesn’t have at least 3 classics are people who listen exclusively to trap and say that people like uzi, gunna or nav have classics and refer to lil nas x as just nas
Common
TD/TB is a personal classic, Black America Again and Let Love are really great albums

I was thinking about common, obviously At least 3 classics, just not sure about 2010’s... although they are really good albums is anyone calling them classics? The dreamer the believer is a definite contender though

Common in here as well for me
LIG is a good album and all, but nobody really talks about that album like 4:44 let’s keep it a buck
It didn’t have the same impact as 4:44 but still great. And we expected a Life is Good kind of album from Nas but 4:44 from Jay definitely caught us off guard at the time and was a big deal.
It was great to hear Jay sound vulnerable, more human and more introspective versus the more braggadocios s*** we was used to hearing from him.
Both these albums when you listen to them compliment each other well in my opinion.

They’re all defiantly worth a shout. When I started the thread I did kind of have solos in mind, so El-P and big boi wouldn’t count if that were the case, and flowers is a nice album but I’m not sure if an out and out classic, haven’t listened to it enough to judge fairly tbh

Common lost mainstream appeal after he left G.O.O.D. and therefore not really mentioned a lot. But Black America Again is really amazing, it’s waay too good to just call it a good album

I've never heard Life is Good being called a classic before I opened up this thread

This still doesn’t prove it’s a classic, really good though.
This topic Hov stands alone, no one has the longevity and relevancy that he has.
