Aside from that trash he did with pharrell has he ever released a bad album?
UMC was pretty bad yeah. So besides that to me he hasn’t, I listen to most of his albums a lot. I do think it’s a shame he messed up his latest two albums by making them exclusives at release (Amazon music, who even has a subscription for that )
Q-Tip
If we counting group and solo (which wasn’t the original intent) then yeah I’d say so, although is the general consensus of the renaissance a classic (to me it certainly is)
So far we seem to agree on Nas and Hov for the most part. I've seen Big Boi, El-P and Blu be suggested in the thread and I personally agree with those picks.
How about Lupe? Dude will be dropping fire this decade too
i love nas but i don't see a classic this decade
hov definitely has with reasonable doubt, 2 in the 2000s then this decade Watch the Throne. I know some people don't f*** with WTT but i think it's a classic anyway
I was gonna say Ghostface but he doesn’t really have a classic this decade. Good albums nonetheless

Doesn’t have to be this decade, unless you mean last decade 😂 we in the
20’s now bro

I agree, but he hasn't dropped a classic this decade, YET. So he can't be a part of this convos until that happens.

I really like Czarface meets Ghostface but it doesn’t get any love

i'm not ready to confront the 2020s yet

Nah I wasn’t feeling that s*** and I’m a big ghost fan
do people really think life is good is a classic tho?
it's good, but really there's only 2 or 3 nas classics imo.
LL has Radio in the 80s and Mama said knock you out in the 90s. Don’t think any of the 2000 albums teach that

I do, but I don’t know if that was just a personal classic because I consider him and jay top 2

fair enough
yea The Renaissance is definitely his solo classic, aging like fine wine
They’re all defiantly worth a shout. When I started the thread I did kind of have solos in mind, so El-P and big boi wouldn’t count if that were the case, and flowers is a nice album but I’m not sure if an out and out classic, haven’t listened to it enough to judge fairly tbh
Yeah, if we're only counting solo then you're right.
I do, but I don’t know if that was just a personal classic because I consider him and jay top 2
yeah nas is top 5 or top 10 at least
does that make any good album he makes a classic tho? some people do do that, like if Bob Dylan makes a good album, rock critics will call it a classic because it's a good Bob Dylan album, but if it was a good album by a new artist they wouldn't...
but i don't think Life is Good will go down the same way Illmatic or even the Lost Tapes will.
I really like Czarface meets Ghostface but it doesn’t get any love
I gotta go run that s*** real quick.

No doubt, that never gets love and I really liked that one as well. I also thought Twelve Reasons to Die and Soursoul were pretty good albums also.
