why are we still trying to rank Kanye's discography, like how it is possible as all of his albums are masterpiece in their own way and so different ?

It’s really not that hard. A lot of this is more subjective than you’d think.

I think it definitely can be in time it’s already top 5 to me

  • Oct 30, 2019

Nigga his first three albums are the best albums. Y’all are weird if y’all consider anything after 808s above that run

  • m02stp

    No lol.

808’s is composed ingeniously and therefor is “for” anyone who knows how to identify good music.

I’m not into “synth pop” at all but 808’s is top 3 for me because of one reason: it’s REALLY f***ing good.

I swear I need to teach some of you kids how to actually listen to music.

thanks for elaborating with "really f***ing good" stg y'all bash fantano but can barely articulate ur own opinions yikes

Subjective statement. Those tracks are timeless classics. Jesus Walks, All Falls Down, Spaceship, Two Words...
I see what you’re saying but that album changed the whole game. All the way up
    To graduation. All those
    Albums changed the game

fair, but influence is not something i consider when ranking, it's purely music

this seems to be a somewhat common take, but i actually enjoy his more sporadic off-kilter output post yeezus, even tho it means consistency takes a hit, it just seems more pure and less meticulous. not to say i don't like perfectionist era ye, but it's an interesting change of style at least

Only reason I say Ye is better than JIK is because it had Yikes on it.

That nigga went off on that one. Besides that JIK ain’t bad. Just not a game changing album.

You said an entire three things in this post alone that are ALL true (and imo harder ideas to grasp) and you’re not able to appreciate 808’s?!

Yea i Listened to 808s the other day in it’s entirety and that album was beautiful. Especially considering his circumstances. No artist has ever been that vulnerable on record. That was a pure expression of art. From the album, videos and live performances. That changed the whole game

It doesn’t “hit hard” lol Jesus Christ my guy are you serious with this statement?

Do you just miss the point of 808’s entirely?

by hit hard i mean have an emotional connection to the themes of the album. sorry if that was unclear
