DAMN sold 600k first week where 350k were physical while 250k were streams and thats Kendrick coming from a critically acclaimed album TPAB. Now Kendrick is coming from a critically acclaimed album thats also a commercially succesful album and a whole Black Panther movie soundtrack album and we know everybody on the face of planet earth saw black panther. This next album is gonna be Kendrick’s biggest.
Kendrick outsold Drake in 2017 when DAMN dropped. Damn did 600k. That boy Kendrick might f*** around and do 800K. This next album is his most anticipated.
Comparing Damn to More Life is equivalent to comparing Views to Untitled Unmastered
Drake’s albums have always sold more than 600k first week pure sales while being the most pirated artist in our generation
Where as Kendrick just did 600k with DAMN, something Drake has been doing since 2011

they don’t understand how physical copies are dead .. streaming is everything and we all know who the king of streaming is.

well i personally dont take any music opinion metrics seriously cuz they’re all opinions no matter which way you spin it. But i do agree forsure that kendrick is the better “album artist” of the 2

Kendrick is the one one saving up content for the big album announcement and release.Drake fans are always eating, be it from loosies or features. He doesn't need to hide in a cave for 2 years to get people hyped for his upcoming stuff.

DAMN also put him heavy on the radio and got him much more mainstream appeal and after that Kendrick literally disappeared. He did Black Panther but we haven’t heard any Kendrick solo work since DAMN. People are literally looking for him to do something. When people heard Kendrick was gonna be on ROTD 3 they went nuts.

Scorpion in 2018 sold 730k with 160k being traditional sales.
Kendrick did 600k in 2017 with 350k being traditional sales. Traditional sales aren’t just discs they’re vinyls, itunes sales etc. This is why i say Kendrick has a stronger fanbase. Scorpion had god’s plan and in my feelings which did diamond and is like the biggest hit since ever

Rihanna, U2 and Zacari (600k FW)Scorpion has 25 songs with a Michael Jackson & Hov feature. God’s plan, In my feelings (two of the biggest songs that year) and it did 730k FW

in terms of outselling if they both release at the same time, its drake cos his music is catered more to the everyday audience. take that as a criticism or a compliment lol kendrick’s popularity is understated by alot of ppl itt, its not like it would be a massive difference
