When I was doing exams last year, I was bored as f*** so I started reading some threads crossposted elsewhere, and I was pretty horrified at what the users were saying and posting. Innocent lives ruined because they were either trans or had a disability, and posted "cringe" elsewhere (mind you they didn't even come to Kiwifarms and start talking s***)
Like, mass doxxing isn't tolerated on twitter or 4chan.

They probably will continue to do what they do but instead of their actions being easily traced on an open site, they will do so in private groups

if this is true, then is there an argument to be made that keeping these folks in the public eye, like on a forum like kiwi farms actually makes them easier to deal with?

The site owners would willingly cooperate with law enforcement to keep their site up if needed.
Same way isps cooperate by sending you warnings for torrenting so they can still continue beings isps.I don;t agree with what went on there, but i think pushing these groups underground/private is more dangerous.
